The first time I made clothes for my Barbie doll with my little sewing machine, my passion for creating was born. Even then, when I created anything, it had to be beautiful. I got this special feeling of satisfaction and happiness. Now, through many years of hands on experience, I’ve grown my art and business from that feeling.

I started painting in 2007. I am self-taught, and I realize how blessed I am that God has given me this gift and skill. My “why” is to create beauty. The truth is, no matter what I do, the outcome has to have “beauty”! Recently, because of my natural love of making a room beautiful, I was inspired to study the elements and principles of interior design. The decision to study interior design later in my career was pivotal. It gave me the opportunity to understand art in a deeper way—specifically how it has the incredible abilities to connect a person to a room. The art you display should bring you joy and make you feel good every day—it’s in your space; it’s an emotional connection.

As I have evolved as an artist, I have found myself most attracted to creating beautiful paintings with added textural dimensions and most recently I have developed a newfound love for watercolors. I try my best to implement the core values of art and design by paying special attention to space, line, shape, color, texture, light, and pattern. I know a piece is complete when I feel balance, rhythm, proportion and most of all, a personal sense of beauty and joy when I experience it.

The most important element of each piece is the love that is put into it—and if you ever find yourself with one of my pieces, I hope you feel that beautiful love!
